SHAINA MAGDAYAO – The Kapamilya actress confirmed through a post on social media that she tested positive for COVID-19.

The increase in the daily recorded cases of COVID-19 in Metro Manila following the holiday season alarmed the authorities. It prompted the placing of the capital region under Alert Level 3 which comes with stricter measures. Some local government units are also implementing curfew now.

The PH government continues to encourage the people to get their jabs against COVID-19. Previously, two (2) mass vaccination drives were held and over ten (10) million people were vaccinated under the said programs. The Department of Health (DOH) has also given the go signal on the giving of the booster shots towards specific categories.

Several healthcare workers have already received their booster shots. Some celebrities including Kapamilya actress Shaina Magdayao have also received their booster shots.

However, based on a recent social media post of Shaina Magdayao, she tested positive for COVID-19 after she received her booster shot. According to the actress, she initially thought that her symptoms were due to the booster shot that she received last January 7, 2022. The signs came out a day after it.

However, she kept on feeling worse day by day so she decided to take an RT PCR test. The test yielded a positive result. According to the actress, she has a fever that is consistent between 38 to 39 degrees Celsius, sore throat, cough, phlegm, and rashes.

Shaina is now under isolation and she is on her third day. Based on her post, the actress is grateful that her family is safe and healthy. She also expressed her thanks for family and friends who check on her daily. She ended her Instagram post with a short healing prayer for everyone:
