Glaiza de Castro had fun even though she had adjustments in new romcom series
Kapuso actress Glaiza de Castro shared the funny moments she had during the taping of her new romantic-comedy series False Positive with Xian Lim.
Glaiza earned the moniker Asia’s Fire of Drama for her dramatic roles in her past teleseryes. During a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, the actress said she is thankful that after her hit series Nagbabagang Luha, she was already given a new project and this time, it is not heavy drama.
Her previous series ended in October 2021 and after that, she was able to spend vacation with her Irish fiance David Rainey. Now, Glaiza de Castro is set to do another series after her break. Although False Positive is a feel-good project, the actress admitted that the process of doing this was not that easy.
She used to do heavy drama in her previous roles and shifting to romcom required an extra effort from her. Despite the difficulty, Glaiza is thankful that their director Irene Villamor helped her in giving life to her character.
“Ang laki rin ng adjustments and super grateful ako kay Direk Irene kasi, actually, makulit din talaga siyang tao so na-break nga ‘yung walls kasi kapag nagdi-direk siya, minsan inaarte niya, minsan natawa ka na lang sa kanya,” the Kapuso actress said.
With this, she was able to understand where her character should go. Glaiza also lauded her leading man for not holding back in doing adlibs whether this will be included in editing or not.
“Hindi siya nagho-hold back sa kung ano ‘yung gagawin niya. Kahit hindi masama sa edit gagawin . I mean, gano’n siya katapang na tao,” Glaiza de Castro said about Xian Lim.
The actress also shared that in delivering some of the comedy scenes, she incorporated parody featuring the dramatic scenes she has previously done in past projects. Glaiza suggested this to Direk Irene and the actress was thankful that their director is entertaining suggestions and this made her adjustment much easier.
