PAGASA Says Amihan to Affect PH Weather on Saturday (January 8)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon would bring cloudy to rainy condition over some parts of the country.
On Saturday (January 8, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
Cloudy weather condition with rains over the provinces of Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.
The amihan would also affect Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Abra, Benguet, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan and Aurora.
The easterlies would also bring similar weather condition over Visayas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country would experience the same weather condition.
The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
The coastal water condition over Northern Luzon, Central Luzon and the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the rest of the archipelago.
