MMDA Chief Apprehends Jaywalker for Violating Traffic Policy, Which is the Primary Cause of Accident Along the Road
The MMDA chief Edison Bong Nebrija scolded a jaywalker for violating the traffic rules and regulations along the road.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is an agency of the Republic of the Philippines implementing the planning, monitoring and coordinative functions along the road concerning purely local matters.
The agency covers the cities of Manila, Quezon City, Caloocan, Pasay, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Valenzuela, Malabon, Taguig, Navotas and San Juan and the municipality of Pateros.
The Facebook page “Gadget Addict” has shared the video footage of MMDA traffic czar Edison Bong Nebrija scolding a traffic violator. The video circulates online and garnered various reactions from the online community.
Earlier this week, Nebrija and his men went to Quezon Avenue Split to respond in a road accident involving a motorcycle rider and a pedestrian who violated the traffic rules and regulations.
The pedestrian allegedly jay walked and slightly hit the motorcycle rider. The motorist was sent pummeling to the ground. Nebrija quickly call an ambulance and contacted a tow truck to bring the rider’s motorcycle at the impounding area.
A day later, another jay walker has been caught crossing along the road without using the overpass bridge. MMDA enforcer tried to apprehend the violator but the latter refused to listen.
However, the jaywalker explained that it was still early and there’s only few vehicle passing along the road. Nebrija scolded him and lectured him that following orders is strictly recommended 24 hours.

Di umano’y tinakasan ng mananakay ang pangyayari nang di tinulungan o tinignan man lang kung okay ba ang kalagayan ng rider.
Kinabukasan, hinarang ng EDSA Traffic Reaction unit ni Edison Bong Nebrija ang mananakay na di umano’y tinatakbuhan ang dalawang fixed-post enforcer, pagkatapos niyang di sundan ang utos nila na wag mag-jaywalk sa EDSA.
