MMDA Reminds Not to Use Fake Vaccination Cards or Face Raps
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has warned the public and individuals who were allegedly using fake vaccination cards.
The MMDA warns the public that using false coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination cards is completely forbidden. The MMDA warned that attempting to cheat or use a fraudulent card is against the law and will result in severe consequences.

Any individual or establishment that forges a COVID-19 vaccination card will be charged with violating Republic Act No. 3815 or the Revised Penal Code as amended pursuant to Section 12 of Republic Act No. 11525 or the COVID-19 Vaccination Program Act of 2021, according to MMDA Resolution No. 22-01, which was approved by the Metro Manila Council.
Meanwhile, the Department of Interior and Local Government-Region 10 (DILG-R10) advises that faking COVID-19 immunization certificates can result in serious consequences, including prison time. This came after the DILG-R10 got a complaint that a specific person in Cagayan de Oro City had been arrested peddling fraudulent vaccination cards by the police.
Persons discovered forging, manipulating, or using fraudulent vaccination cards risk penalties under the Revised Penal Code and Republic Act 11332, or the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases Law. A fine of P20,000 to P50,000, or one to six months in jail, or both, are among the consequences.
Public officers and employees, as well as licensed professionals, who commit such a crime, will face harsher penalties, and an administrative case will be filed with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) or the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) for the revocation or suspension of their license or eligibility.
