MMDA Chief Praises Honest Traffic Personnel for Returning Lost Wallet

The MMDA chief Edison Bong Nebrija has praised the honest traffic personnel for returning a lost wallet to the owner.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is an agency of the Republic of the Philippines implementing the planning, monitoring and coordinative functions along the road concerning purely local matters.

The agency covers the cities of Manila, Quezon City, Caloocan, Pasay, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Valenzuela, Malabon, Taguig, Navotas and San Juan and the municipality of Pateros.

Recently, MMDA traffic czar Edison Bong Nebrija has shared the video footage of a lost wallet owner expressing his gratitude to the agency for returning a lost wallet. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.

Nebrija narrated that last Tuesday (January 4, 2022), one of MMDA Traffic Auxiliaries found a lost wallet along the road while performing its duty. He surrendered and turned over lost wallet to the authorities.

The wallet contains cash, identification cards and other important documents. The agency searched the owner’s name Francis Cruz on Facebook but there are too many similar accounts.

On Thursday (January 6, 2022), Nebrija ordered Operations Chief Romy Galo to track Cruz down to locate him and return his belongings. Cruz is thankful that his wallet containing important documents have been returned.

The owner expressed his gratitude to the traffic personnel who returned the wallet and showed his appreciation towards the enforcers.

On Tuesday 2 of our Traffic Auxiliaries found a wallet belonging to a certain Francis Cruz. We tried locating him on FB but there were many accounts similar to his. This morning I instructed my Operations Chief Romy Galo to track him down in Manila and return his belongings.

The video will show his appreciation to our enforcers for doing an honest deed. Mabuhay kayo team mates!”
