Investigations have been made and the findings have pushed the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to file criminal charges against Gwyneth Anne Chua and eight other people, including her parents, for violations of the government’s health protocols. CIDG director Police Maj. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro said that her father fetched her at the Berjaya Makati hotel a few minutes after she arrived on December 22 and her mother was the one who dropped her back at the hotel on December 25 and on the following day, Chua’s RT-PCR test was positive.

Their negligence and irresponsible actions have put the health and safety of several people present at the party at risk. Some have tested positive while others, luckily, were negative. According to a report from Rappler, CIDG spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mon Sawan said, “CIDG will be filing cases against nine persons, including Ms. Chua, her father and mother, and several personnel of the hotel (quarantine facility).”

15 people from that party were reportedly infected which included some of her friends and staff of the bar and restaurant as a result of her alleged misbehavior. The party happened at Kampai Bar and at the Mijo Comfort Food and CCTV recordings showing her presence backed up the claims.
