List of Non-Working Days & Special Working Days for 2022
PHILIPPINE HOLIDAYS – Here is the list of non-working days and special workings for the year 2022, according to Malacañang Palace.
Last year, President Rodrigo Duterte released the Proclamation 1236 declaring November 2, December 24, and December 31, 2022 as working days for two straight years. those dates were not declared as public holidays.
The Proclamation 1236 states that November 2 (All Soul’s Day), December 24 (Christmas Eve), and December 31, 2022 (New Year’s Eve) as special working days. The proclamation contains 10 regular holidays and six special non-working days.
Five out of 10 regular holidays fell on weekends while two out of six special non-regular holidays fell on weekend.
Regular Holidays 2022
- New Year’s Day – January 1
- Araw ng Kagitingan – April 9
- Maundy Thursday – April 14
- Good Friday – April 15
- Labor Day – May 1
- Independence Day – June 12
- National Heroes Day – August 29
- Bonifacio Day – November 20
- Christmas Day – December 25 and
- Rizal Day – December 30
Special Non-Working Days 2022
- Chinese New Year – February 1
- EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary – February 25
- Black Saturday – April 16
- Ninoy Aquino Day – August 21
- All Saints’ Day – November 1
- Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary – December 8

Mr. Duterte declared the proclamation to help the Filipino laborers to cope up with their financial necessities after their jobs have been halted by the health crisis.
