Kris Aquino has this fiery statement on Christmas Day
Actress-host Kris Aquino did not mind slamming her bashers who accused her of using her charity works for politics despite the fact that the whole world is celebrating the Christmas.
On December 25, Kris shared a lengthy post on her Instagram account with the screenshots of the “facts” that she is presenting to the public. She said that she knows people will attack her again for sharing this post but she does not care at all.
The celebrity stressed that people can’t dictate her to “help silently”. Kris said that whatever she extended to the needy came from her own money and posting about it can also encourage others. “Kahit PASKO, I’m sorry I’m not a bit sorry, PASENSYAHAN tayo,” she said to her haters adding that she is not as humble as her brother the late President Noynoy Aquino.
Kris Aquino also stressed that those accusing her of “namumulitika” obviously did not like the politician she was with, Vice President Leni Robredo who is running for president. The actress-host also wore pink, the color associated with presidential aspirant.
Apparently, the bashing came after her relief efforts for typhoon Odette victims. Videos circulated online in which Kris said that people should not forget who helped them and this sounded “politics” for other people.
In her post, Kris also included a list of the things that her brother had accomplished when he was serving as President of the Philippines. She thanked her fiance former Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mel Sen Sarmiento for organising the information so that her post will be “factual”.
Despite the criticm that she received, Kris Aquino is thankful for those who showed support for her. Several celebrities commented on the post of the actress-host showing love for her.
