PAGASA Says ITCZ and Amihan to Affect PH Weather
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone and Northeast Monsoon will affect PH weather.
On Friday (December 24 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone and Northeast Monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will be affecting Southeastern Mindanao. Northeast Monsoon would affect the Extreme Northern Luzon.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms over the entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindanao.
Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Northern Samar as well as rest of Mindanao will also experience similar weather condition.
The ITCZ will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers or thunderstorms over Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands, and Davao Oriental.
The weather agency has also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Cebu is expected to experience a sunny Christmas after the low-pressure area spotted east of Mindanao has already dissipated. Fair weather with cloudy to partly cloudy condition is expected during the weekend.
Pagasa-Mactan government has urged the public to take precautions against the heat ranging between 32 to 33 degree Celsius.
