What is beauty for Marian Rivera?
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera shared that her perception of beauty changed after being one of the judges of Miss Universe 2021.
Marian is indeed one of the most beautiful faces in the Philippine entertainment industry. Aside from her beauty, she is also being admired because of her acting stints and her personality as a wife and as a mother.
Just recently, she received a wonderful achievement as she was named as one of the members of the selection committee in this year’s Miss Universe pageant held in Israel.
Following that stint, based on the article in PEP, Marian Rivera shared that her knowledge about “beauty” has broaden. “Kasi, hindi ko makakalimutan yung sinabi sa akin ni Ms. Paula [Shugart, president ng Miss Universe Organization], na ang sabi niya, ‘Marian, ang hinahanap natin sa Miss Universe yung kaya niyang dalhin yung sarili niya. Na kailangan kapag ginagawa niya ang isang bagay, masaya siya,” the actress shared.
She also said that she did not care anymore if the candidate has long or short hair, and if she’s skinny or not. Marian was looking for someone who can carry herself well.
The Kapuso star added that this perception also went with the question and answer portion. She said that she did not mind if the candidate can speak fluent English or not and she was just focusing on how they expressed themselves.
“So, parang nagsi-sink lahat na ang pagiging maganda, oo kailangan ang panlabas lang, pero maganda pa rin kung ang kalooban mo mabuti, buo, at magaling ang intensiyon mo para sa ibang tao,” the mother of two said.
She also stressed the importance of being one’s self with no pretensions. Marian Rivera said that her belief became even stronger that being “totoo” is much better.
The actress also mentioned that it was really a fun experience for her to be part of the most prestigious beauty pageant this year. She was also happy to share that she became friends with her fellow judges.
