Sarah Geronimo Explains Why Her Solo Concert Got Canceled

Pop singer superstar Sarah Geronimo shares why her supposed solo show did not materialize.

SARAH GERONIMO – Pop singer and Kapamilya superstar Sarah Geronimo explains why she had to drop her planned solo concert.

Record-breaking artist Sarah Geronimo rose to stardom in 2003 when she won the talent search “Star for a Night”. And since then, she became a multi-hyphenate with sold-out concerts and albums, dozens of brand endorsements, TV shows, and box-office hits.

We’ve seen her growth right before our eyes until she became married to actor Matteo Guidicelli. She is now Mrs. Guidicelli and although it seems like their marriage did not quite turn out well as it was kept away from her own family, things will eventually fall into place in time.

A couple of years after their marriage, we’ve seen the pair in several endorsements together. And this December, they actually have a virtual Christmas concert together. It is called Christmas with The G’s and will happen this December 18, 8 pm, to be streamed by ktx.ph and Vivamax Plus.

However, this is not the initial plan of the Popstar singer. Accordingly, what was planned was a solo show for her supporters. But according to her in an interview with ABS-CBN, the “stars did not align” for it to happen. There were some circumstances that came up as the reason why it did not materialize. But for their concert, everything went smoothly as if it was meant to happen.

Meanwhile, songs like “Jingle Bells,” “O Holy Night,” “Ang Pasko ay Sumapit,” and “Sana Ngayong Pasko” are just a few of the songs they are going to perform in their concert. “Mr. Christmas” Jose Mari Chan and the international award-winning acapella group Acapellago will also have special participation.

OPM icon Louie Ocampo is the musical director, Paolo Valenciano is the director, and Viva Live and G Productions of Sarah and Matteo are the producers.
