Beatrice Luigi Gomez has no regrets about her Miss Universe journey
Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez shared that she was really aiming for the 5th Miss Universe crown for the Philippines.
Beatrice represented the country in the 70th edition of the most prestigious pageant in the world and from the start, she was one of the frontrunners in this year’s competition.
However, she failed to enter the Top 3 but has brought the country to a higher placement in the pageant since a couple of years ago. In a recent interview after the pageant, based on the article in Inquirer, Beatrice admitted that she was not surprised that she has reached the Top 5.
“Honestly, I really expected [that] Philippines would have a placement this year because I know how hard I worked and all I ever did was deliver my best,” she revealed. She added that her best would just settle for Top 16 or Top 10. “I was really aiming for that crown,” the beauty queen from Cebu City stressed.
However, she pointed out that there are candidates who are really destined to be crowned. “No regrets po sa performance ko. Para sa ‘kin, hindi po kulang kasi binigay ko po lahat. I’m just very proud of what I did,” Beatrice Luigi Gomez said.
Previously, the Cebuana beauty also said that she was satisfied with her performance in the Miss Universe 2021 pageant and that included the question and answer portion.
She also expressed happiness for receiving overwhelming support from Pinoy pageant fans. Several former beauty queens also congratulated Beatrice including Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray who said that they are proud of the country’s representative this year.
