Beatrice Luigi Gomez speaks about her Miss Universe stint
Miss Philippines Beatrice Luigi Gomez shared her thoughts on the Miss Universe 2021 Question-and-Answer Portion and her international pageant journey.
Beatrice indeed made Filipino pageant fans proud as she was named as one of the Top 5 finalists in the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world this year. Several beauty queens prior to her also expressed happiness for her performance on the international pageant stage.
After the competition that was held in Israel, based on the article in PEP, Beatrice shared that she is satisfied with her performance because she knows she did her best.
“Well, I’m just really happy that I was able to deliver a really good performance for the Filipino people, especially that majority of the audience are Filipinos,” the Cebuana beauty said.
When asked if she felt nervous when the candidates were trimmed down to Top 16, Top 10, and eventually Top 5, Beatrice Luigi Gomez said that she was not nervous at that time.
“Surprisingly, hindi po. Usually, I feel nervous even during rehearsals, kinakabahan ako,” she said. The Filipina beauty queen added that perhaps it was because of the fact that it would be the last time that she will be with her fellow candidates on stage and so she just enjoyed that moment.
On the other hand, Beatrice admitted that she felt nervous during the Q & A portion but she is happy that she was able to convey what she wanted to say.
She was also asked about newly-crowned Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu. Beatrice Luigi Gomez said that Miss India was one of their roommates and even before the finals, they are already rooting for her. “We are all rooting for her, kasi nga she works really hard, and there are even times na sobrang pressured niya na tinutulungan namin siya,” she shared.
