All Regions In Philippines At Minimal Risk Or “Low Risk” Classification

ALL REGIONS IN THE PHILIPPINES LOW RISK – As the end of the year comes closer, the Department of Health said all regions in the country are at low risk of COVID-19 transmissions.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Philippines became among the strictest countries in the world. For about two years, the country imposed tight lockdowns in an attempt to curb the virus’ spread.

This year, the government implemented new classification systems for areas for COVID-19 transmissions. Now, the country uses “alert level” systems to show transmission risk.

All Regions In Philippines At Minimal COVID-19 Risk, Says DOH

Currently, all regions in the Philippines are under Alert Level 2. This meant that there are minimal to low-risk case classifications. Based on an article from ABS-CBN, the Health Epidemiology Bureau Director Dr. Alethea de Guzman said the virus’ attack rate lowered to less than 1 per 100,000 people.

To place this into perspective, the country recorded a growth rate of -59%. Additionally, the ADAR was at a 1.41. Meanwhile, the National Capital Region (NCR) had an ADR of 0.67.

As per the article, De Guzman said:

All provinces, HUCs, and ICCs of areas remain under Alert Level 2 with minimal to low-risk case classification

However, the DOH noted that they are still monitoring Region XII and Region V. Recently, authorities reported a 7% growth rate of COVID-19 cases in Region XII while V had a 3% growth rate.

Along with this, Lapu-Lapu City and General Santos City also had high COVID-19 growth rates of 10.53% and 2.56%
