Miss Universe India Harnaaz Sandhu is crowned as Miss Universe 2021. Here are the other winners.
MISS UNIVERSE 2021 WINNER – Andrea Meza officially crowned Miss Universe India Harnaaz Sandhu as Miss Universe 2021 winner.
Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza crowns Miss Universe India Harnaaz Sandhu as Miss Universe 2021, her successor. This year, the pageant was held at Eilat, Israel. At the same time, this year’s pageant also marked the debut of Bahrain and the returns of Equatorial Guinea, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, Kenya, Morocco, Namibia, Nigeria, Sweden, and Turkey.
Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima, Indian actress and Miss Diva Universe 2015 Urvashi Rautela, Steve Harvey’s daughter Lori Harvey, crowned Miss Universe 2016 and French model Iris Mittenaere, Puerto Rican actress Adamari Lopez, Emmy award-winning actress Rena Sofer, Pinay actress and entrepreneur Marian Rivera, Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst, and Miss Universe 1976 Rina Mor compose the all-female selection committee.
1st runner up is Miss Universe Paraguay Nadia Ferreira while 2nd runner up is Miss Universe South Africa Lalela Lali Mswane.
She is the third Indian beauty to nabbed the prestigious title following the victories of Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000. She was born and raised in Chandigarh, Sandhu and currently, she’s pursuing her master’s degree in public administration. Other beauty titles under her belt include Times Fresh Face in 2017 and the Femina Miss India Punjab in 2019.
In the pageant, she wore the design of Saisha Shinde for her final gown. Accordingly, the gown was specially made for her associated with her roots from Punjab. It has the motif of Phulkari, an embroidery synonymous with Punjab.
