Karla Estrada Shares Some Details about her Family Background

KARLA ESTRADA – The Magandang Buhay host revealed why her biological father thought that she is dead.

One of the popular actress-singers in the Philippine showbiz industry is Magandang Buhay host, Karla Estrada. Her showbiz career started in That’s Entertainment, a variety show under the GMA-7 network and hosted by the late German “Kuya Germs” Moreno.

Karla did a lot of movies and she was also part of several TV shows. She is blessed with four (4) children – Kapamilya star Daniel Padilla, JC Padilla, Magui Ford Planas, and Carmella Ford Tenorio. All her children who have different fathers grew up under her care.

The Magandang Buhay is visibly an epitome of strength. She is a single mother who raised four (4) beautiful children and one of them, Daniel who is her son with actor Rommel Padilla, is a superstar in showbiz now.

However, little did the public know that Karla also went through a lot of experiences that could have honed and proven the strong woman that she is. When she was born, she does not have both her parents at her side.

In an interview with Toni Gonzaga for her vlog, Karla Estrada revealed that her biological father was even unaware of her presence when she was still a baby. He thought that Karla died.

According to Karla Estrada, after a few months since she was born on November 21, 1974, her biological father arrived at their house but her maternal grandfather does not want her parents to be together anymore. He told him that Karla died.

Karla further shared that her father left and thought all his life that he has no child. When asked if her mother knows about what her grandfather told her biological father, the Magandang Buhay host answered in the affirmative. The actress-singer said that she really grew up living like an ordinary child playing in the streets and “very tough and boyish” because the absence of her father was filled by all her uncles and the cousins of her mother.

In her interview with Toni, Karla reached Manila because of her uncle Roland who was working as the family driver of a wealthy family. It was his promise to her to bring her to Manila and she’s determined to be an actress since she was a child.
