During the entrapment operation, the complainant and the suspect were having a short conversation during the transaction. After a few moments, the victim handed the marked money towards the scammer, which has been the Go signal to arrest Dumpit.

Other complainants confronted the suspect after she has been arrested. Dumpit reportedly stole around P10 million from her poor victims including some overseas contract workers and other government employees.

According to CIDG, Dumpit is pretending to be connected to home development mutual month or PAGIBIG and selling house and lots to victims at a very cheap price.

“Hindi alam po ng mga victim niya na itong mga properties na ibinebenta niya under PAG-IBIG is hindi po totoo, so ang modus operandi niya po, mga foreclose properties po is ibinebenta niya sa mas mababang halaga,” Deputy provincial officer CIDG Cavite Pmaj. Adrian Cayabyab.

CIDG confirmed that Dumpit is not connected to any agencies. The suspect refused to give a statement regarding the incident and her lawyer would face the complainants.

The cops also reminded the public to conduct a background check regarding the agencies selling properties for a legitimate transaction.
