BJMP Says Pharmally Execs Get No Special Treatment In Pasay Jail Transfer

PHARMALLY JAIL TRANSFER – Execs of Pharmally would get no special treatment in the Pasay City Jail according to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

Following the Senate Probe into Pharmally, two of its top executives, Linconn Ong and Mohit Dargani would be transferred to the Pasay City Jail.

No Special Treatment For Pharmally Execs Says BJMP

According to BJMP spokesperson Xavier Solda, the execs will be placed in a 1000% congested facility which holds 1,104 Persons Deprived of Liberty. Based on an article from Philstar, Solda said:

After the mandatory quarantine period of 10-14 days, the subject individuals will be assigned to a cell in the general population

Prior to the transfer, the two Pharmally directors have been detained at the Senate. During the investigation into Pharmally, Senators cited them in contempt for their answers.

Among the issues the Senate had with Pharmally was missing source documents regarding the firm’s financial statements. As such, the Senate required the two to present it to the probe on November 26.

However, after five hours of questioning, the two failed to specify where the location of the documents are. This prompted the Senate to transfer both to the Pasay City Jail.

As per the article, Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto okayed the commitment order. With this, Pasay City Jail Warden Supt. Ramil Vestra awaits the detention of the two Pharmally executives on Saturday.
