The authorities, on the other hand, become suspicious of the man because the chain is still attached to the bike. The man was walking near the intersection of Hilario and Dayap Streets in Barangay Palanan when the town guards noticed him.

When they questioned the individual, he was unable to provide a satisfactory response. Someone afterward went to the barangay hall and stated unequivocally that the bike the man was riding was the one that had been taken from him.

The barangay promptly summoned the police to apprehend the suspect, a 21-year-old male suspected of belonging to a robbery group. The culprit is accused of stealing. The P5,000 bike was returned to the owner.

On Sunday, dozens of cyclists went from Quezon City to Navotas to commemorate National Bicycle Day (NBD). The event was organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the National Bicycle Organization, and this year’s theme was “Cleaner air through bicycle-friendly Philippines.”
