Robinsons Cinema To Open on November 24, Here are the Protocols

Update on Robinsons Cinema Opening & Protocol for Movie Goers

ROBINSONS CINEMA – The Robinsons Movieworld is set to open on November 24, 2021 and it will implement certain protocols for safety.

For more than a year, cinemas in the Philippines were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic affected almost everyone and everything in the country and situations have yet to return to normal. The current setting is tagged as a “new normal” and, despite the easing of the restrictions, there are still protocols that must be followed.

The wearing of a face shield is not mandatory anymore but the protocol to wear a face mask remains. For more than a year, minors were not allowed in public areas until recently when the restrictions eased. However, currently, there are discussions about it after a report about a two-year-old child who contracted COVID-19 after going to a shopping mall hooked attention.

There are calls for an age limit as to the minors that will be allowed in public areas and there is a strong call for parents not to bring their unvaccinated kids in shopping malls.

Amid the easing of the quarantine measures in the Philippines, cinemas are already allowed to open but with strict observance of the safety measures. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Robinsons cinema is set to open on November 24, 2021.

According to the report, Robinsons partnered with the American brand UV Care in boosting the safety measures inside its cinemas. UV Care is registered under the US Environmental Protection Agency and US Food and Drugs Administration. They use UV Care air purifiers that come with medical-grade H13 HEPA filters that take away the particles including droplets in the air that may carry viruses.

To ensure the safety of the moviegoers, Robinsons cinema encourages contactless or cashless transactions in buying tickets. You can purchase a movie ticket at the cinema gates or via online channels. Moviegoers are required to present their COVID-19 vaccination card upon buying tickets and contact-tracing forms will be provided through a QR code.

The wearing of face masks is a protocol inside the Robinsons cinema. There will be a temperature check before entry and social distancing in the seating area even among family members or watchers from the same household will be observed. No foods and drinks are allowed during the screening.
