DepEd Bicol Asst. Regional Director Ronelo Al Firmo immediately provides brand new slipper for those kids. Firmo visited the school during that day to distribute slippers and school supplies.

Teacher Carmen Milane explained that she witnessed how the two pupils struggled with their foot wears but they were excited to return to the school after almost two years of lockdown.

Milane said that the poor boys might got their shoe damage for walking a couple of kilometers just to reach school. The two were living a little bit far from the school, which contributes to their burden.

Here is the teacher’s statement:

“Nasa upuan ‘yung isang bata.

The school principal Norman Deladia has shared the photos to inspire other students to value education.
