President Duterte Claims Some Priests, Nuns Are All Communists

Priests, Nuns Are All Communists Says President Rodrigo Duterte

President Rodrigo Duterte claimed in his speech some church priests and nuns are only pretending and they are allegedly communists.

During his attendance at the National Task Force End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) operation in Oriental Mindoro, Duterte made the accusation. He disclosed that communists are among the church’s followers, including nuns and priests.

They are posing as human rights supporters, but the truth is that they are entirely Marxist, according to the President. He said that Ka Oris, the assassinated top NPA commander, was a former priest who murdered innocent civilians.

“Ang mag-ano ng human rights puro left rin talaga sila eh. Walang human rights na democratic. They are all communists kaya nandiyan yan sila. Pati yang mga madre pati pari yung nandiyan. Eh kasi si Oris is pari,” said the President.

According to the President, even former Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco is a former political prisoner who was released by former President Corazon Aquino owing to a rebellion case. President Duterte attacked Human Rights once more, claiming that they were only in support of communists who were slain, but that they were silent when communists slaughtered troops and police officers.

” Itong mga human rights, kung magsalita at mag-ano… may namatay sa kanila gaya ni Oris eh gusto pa ng mga buang na i-autopsy kung saan ang tama, if they are at the losing end,” the President added.

The Catholic Church is offering both a language and a technique of resistance to Mr. Duterte’s policies, according to Duterte. When government troops score against them, they instantly characterize the military and police forces as “killing machines.”
