De Lima Reacts To Duterte “Cocaine Candidate” Statement, Says It Was Clear Who He Meant
DE LIMA REACTS TO DUTERTE – Detained Senator Leila de Lima reacted to President Duterte’s “blind item” candidate allegedly using cocaine.
Recently, Duterte claimed that he knows a presidential candidate from a wealthy family that does drugs. But, although he didn’t drop names, de Lima said it was quite clear who he was referring to.
From the confines of her cell walls, de Lima said Duterte should’ve jailed that candidate instead of her. In her official Twitter, she wrote:
“While unnamed, it’s pretty obvious who he’s referring to. Kung ganoon, dapat pala siya ang pinakulong mo, hindi ako. Hindi ba kasama ang cocaine sa drug war mo?”
Officials placed Senator de Lima in Jail based on testimonies of convicted drug lords who were promised executive clemency. As such, for the past four years, the Senator has been behind bars.
Since her arrest, the Senator and her camp had been trying to dismiss the drug cases against her. So far, she had been acquitted of one of the charges.
