PSSgt Erra and PCpl Macasalong are both members of the Zamboanga City Police Office’s Traffic Management Unit. On the other side, Traffic Aide Cruz is allocated to the local government entity, based on the report.

According to Police Colonel Reyes of Police Regional Office 9, the event occurred on November 11, 2021, at approximately 6:30 a.m. PSSgt Erra was on his way to work when he observed a barangay car with other traffic enforcers on standby at the Nunez Extension Road and decided to investigate.

Colonel Reyes goes on to say that when PSSgt Erra arrived, he noticed a woman in childbirth and promptly requested an ambulance. He decided to take action while waiting because there was no time to waste because the mother reported the baby’s head was already crowning.

PSSgt Erra, who is not a nurse, was able to handle and help in the safe delivery of a healthy baby girl inside the vehicle. Following the successful delivery, the mother and the newborn were transferred to the hospital in good health.
