Woman Arrested After Pretending to Be a Doctor Doing Illegal Medicine Practice
Authorities arrested a woman who was reportedly pretending to be a doctor and doing illegal medicine practice in Imus, Cavite.
The authorities identified the lady suspect, according to the report, Ma. Analyn Rivera. Rivera was allegedly pretending as a doctor, but authorities discovered she was not licensed by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC).

Manny Eduarte, the chief of the National Bureau of Investigation’s Anti-Organized and Transnational Crime Division, also disclosed that the nurse who was assisting her was not registered with the PRC. According to the report, a complainant stated that she took her COVID-19-positive grandma to the alleged doctor for treatment.
After a few days, the patient died. Authorities discovered that the suspect did not have a PRC registration. The suspect is accused of advertising services on social media and requiring patients to purchase medications from their own pharmacy.
According to Eduarte, they do this to avoid issuing a prescription because the PTR Number will be included in the prescription. To get around the fact that they don’t have PTR as a doctor, they give their own drugs, he continued.
During the entrapment operation, the suspect was found with marked money from the NBI as well as many identification cards with different identities. The suspect is presently in the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation and has been charged with falsifying public papers, using false names, employing aliases, unlawful practice of medicine, and violating the Philippine Pharmacy Act.
