Vice Pres. Leni Robredo Speaks on Plans in Fighting COVID-19 Pandemic in PH
LENI ROBREDO – The presidential aspirant and incumbent Vice President revealed her COVID-19 response plan if she wins president in 2022.
One of the biggest responsibilities that await whoever will win the presidential election in 2022 is the duty to lead the country in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The current crisis which is ongoing for a year now has left a lot of Filipinos jobless, families in financial struggles, companies closing, and the students having to learn their lessons through blended learning.
Currently, the Philippines remains in pursuit of population protection through vaccinating at least 70 million Filipinos. Recently, one of the presidential aspirants of the 2022 Election, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo, revealed her COVID-19 Response Plan in case she wins the presidential race next year.
The Office of the Vice President has launched several programs to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. Donations from the private sector have been a great help to the limited budget given to the Office in attaining its pursuit to serve and help the people.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo named her program “Kalayaan sa COVID Plan” which aims for freedom from worries of getting sick, freedom from hunger, and freedom from insufficient education due to the situation now.
According to the Vice President, corruption and anomalies must be stopped and there must be an excellent and honest leader to lead the COVID-19 response strategy. If she wins president, she is also after speedy vaccinations by the government that encompasses all people. She also expressed that widespread lockdowns must be stopped but cited the need to keep the workspace for employees safe.
Vice Pres. Leni Robredo believes that schools in low-risk areas must already be opened. According to her, many of the programs she’s pushing for are already ongoing and it is time to widen its scope to lessen the struggle of the Filipinos.
