Ogie Diaz talked about the recent statement of Bobet Vidanes about ‘It’s Showtime’
The source of comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz contradicted the statement of Direk Bobet Vidanes saying that there was no money involved in his decision to transfer to TV5’s Lunch Out Loud (LOL).
It has been a year since the Kapatid noontime show started to air. During a recent episode of LOL marking its first year anniversary, Direk Bobet spoke and he revealed the reason behind his decision to leave It’s Showtime.
Direk Bobet said that it was his mental health that pushed him to transfer because it was becoming toxic for him already. He felt that everyone wanted to be a leader in the show. The director also mentioned that the monetary aspect was not a part of his decision-making.
In the recent Showbiz Update vlog of Ogie Diaz with Mama Loi and Tita Jegs, this was one of the topics they discussed. The comedian-talent manager, since he is close to Vice Ganda, said he knows that the Unkabogable Star is the “business unit head” of the show.
Ogie added that with this, Vice also has the power to decide for the show. Aside from being one of the main hosts of the show, Vice is also in the creative aspect, Ogie explained as many people assumed that Direk Bobet’s statement was referring to the comedian-host.
Then, Mama Loi asked if it is true that there was no money involved just like what the LOL director stated. Ogie Diaz said that his source revealed to him that Direk Bobet Vidanes met with the “bossings” or the management. The director allegedly asked, “Oh kaya niyo ba tapatan yung offer sa akin ng TV5? Ito and presyo.”
What can you say about this?
It was said that the management of the Kapamilya network answered that they could not beat that amount that was offered to him by the Kapatid network.
