Hardworking Lady Finally Reach Dream to Become a Registered Nurse After Failing Licensure Exam Six Times

A hardworking lady becomes a registered nurse after failing the licensure examination six times and passed on her seventh attempt.

Ma. Ernida Peralta can’t contain her happiness after becoming a registered nurse after failing the licensure exam six times. She passed the board exams on her seventh take last July 2021.

Peralta is nervous and shaking while checking the list of passers for the July 2021 Nursing Licensure Exam Results. The woman screamed, cried, and jumped out of joy after she saw her name.

The female registered nurse expressed her happiness after her sacrifices finally paid off. She is always been dreaming of becoming a nurse since she was young but poverty hindered her to reach her dreams.

“It pays po lahat ng sacrifices kasi ang tagal ko siyang inantay,Sabi ko, ‘Lord gusto ko siyang makuha para mairegalo ko sa kanila, para pang palit sa mga sacrifices nila noon nung maliliit pa kami,” Peralta said.

The woman stopped going to school due to poverty and her family is already struggling to support her studies.

Eventually, Ernida starts her own family too and her husband encouraged her to fulfill her dream to become a nurse. She graduated from college in 2013 and started to take board exam every year.

At one point, the aspiring nurse though that the profession wasn’t for her after numerous failed attempt but her sacrifices paid off on her seventh attempt.

“Kung nasa puso po talaga natin ‘yung eagerness na makuha ‘yung isang bagay, ‘wag nating sukuan. Kung madapa tayo, bangon lang ulit. Okay lang umiyak. Okay lang ma-disappoint pero ‘wag susuko,” Peralta added.
