Raymund Marasigan reacted to this viral tweet of Ely Buendia
Singer-songwriter Ely Buendia tweeted that the Eraserheads reunion might happen “pag tumakbo si Leni” and this received a reaction from his former co-band member Raymund Marasigan.
Ely had that answer when a netizen asked him if it is still possible for an Eraserheads reunion to happen. That tweet of the former frontman of the iconic 90s band went viral as many fans have been expecting the reunion.
Since Vice President Leni Robredo already filed her certificate of candidacy for President, E-heads fans were buzzing online asking Ely Buendia about the much-anticipated reunion.
However, based on the article in Inquirer, Ely said that his tweet about the Eraserheads reunion was “half-serious joke”. Reportedly, before the announcement of VP Leni, Raymund Marasigan already shared his reaction to the viral tweet of his former co-band member during his Offstage Hang podcast on October 3.
“Sometimes, the meaning is beyond the tweet. Personally, I don’t think about it politically. I thought it was funny,” Raymund said. He added that he was not aware of any plans about the reunion because they seldom talk to each other. Following that tweet of Ely, he clarified that his political belief does not really reflect the views of other band members.
“If it’s anything about the ‘Heads playing together, my policy with my management is [to] tell me about it when I’m ready to sign and rehearse,” Raymund added.
The latter said that they never had bonding moments together aside from their gigs. They were not like other bands during their time who became really “barkada” even outside their music careers.
