Construction Worker Arrested by Cops During Buy-Bust Operation For Selling Illegal Drugs
The police authorities arrest a construction worker during a buy-bust operation for selling illegal drugs in Quezon Province.
Over the past few decades, illegal drugs have been one of the most common problems of the authorities not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. It usually causes to multiple types of crimes.
A lot of people using illegal drugs usually commit crimes just to earn money to consumer more substances. However, it has a negative impact to the physical body as well as to the mental health of the user.
The Philippine government and the authorities have been already implementing stricter policy to prevent the rate of crime and proliferation of illegal drugs but some individuals still find a way to engage in illegal activities.
On Tuesday (October 5, 2021), Sariaya police launched a buy-bust operation against the suspect identified as Rommel Rodriguez in Sariaya town in Quezon province after receiving reports that the latter is proliferating illegal drugs.
The 49-year-old drug suspect has been arrested after selling a pack of crystal meth to a poseur buyer in Barangay Tumbaga 1. Rodriguez is yielding four sachets of illegal drugs worth P9, 408 in the street market.
The cops also recovered a kitchen knife from the suspect when he was arrested. The suspect is a resident of Lucena City. The police officers arrested and detained the construction worker.
Rodriguez would face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and illegal possession of a bladed weapon.
