Eleazar also ordered that in-depth investigations be launched to determine whether Police Corporal Geymar Oroquero had other local police accomplices in safeguarding and paying the illegal drug activity in Gerona and the surrounding areas. Eleazar demanded that the police officer be fired right away.

BGen. Val De Leon, Director of Police Regional Office 3, advised the PNP head that the stated police scalawag had been disarmed and was being held in custody. Orquero will be prosecuted with a criminal violation in addition to the administrative case.

On September 10, Oroquero and his accused accomplices Marvin Gadia and Joel Umagat were detained in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Calayaan, where they were found with shabu, drug paraphernalia, and a Glock 17 with magazines. Marvin and Joel are rumored to be protected narcotics dealers.

Oroquero, who works at the Tarlac City Police Station, is believed to be a patron, protector, and financier of a July and a Melvin Gadia, who operate in Gerona and Tarlac City and promote illegal substances. The PNP commander praised the Central Luzon Police for acting quickly.

Eleazar.
