What happened to the friendship between Janella Salvador and Julia Barretto?
This is the alleged reason behind the gap that Kapamilya actresses Janella Salvador and Julia Barretto currently have.
Janella and Julia were known to be friends, however, an issue came between them. To recall. Back in January last year, Julia unfollowed her ex-boyfriend Joshua Garcia on Instagram. She also did the same to Janella.
Maja Salvador, who was the co-star of Janella and Joshua in the defunct Kapamilya series The Killer Bride even teased about the unfollowing issue. At that time, Janella and Joshua were paired with each other and their onscreen tandem received warm feedback from Kapamilya viewers.
In an interview last January, Julia Barretto said that she is happy about the career of her ex-boyfriend and his tandem with Janella Salvador. Just recently, the latter revealed that her friendship with Julia did not progress. However, she shared that Julia reached out to her during her pregnancy.
Janella did not mention the reason behind this. In a recent Showbiz Update vlog of Ogie Diaz with Mama Loi, the latter said that there were speculations that the gap started when Joshu and Janella became onscreen partners.
“Kasi daw sabi nung iba parang naiinggit yata si Julia Barretto patok yung love team ni Janella at tsaka ni Joshua. Noong mga panahon na yun, wala siya ata masyadong projects,” Mama Loui said.
Ogie jokingly said that it was Loi who said that and this did come from him. The latter said that he just read about this. The comedian-talent manager said that he will be the one who will receive bashing because of this.
To recall, Ogie said in a previous Showbiz Update vlog that fans of Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson bashed him. It was because of the headline “Pa-expire na ang love ni Gerald kay Julia Barretto?”
