Domestic Helper Faces Jail Time for Mixing Saliva and Toilet Water to Employer’s Water Jug
A Pinay domestic helper got jailed after allegedly mixing saliva and toilet water to her employer’s drink for being dissatisfied.
A female Overseas Filipino Worker identified as Gozar Rose Magtanong has been jailed for four weeks on Monday (September 27, 2021) after she pleaded guilty to one count of dishonestly misappropriating the creams.
The 32-year-old maid has been also charged with one count of committing mischief. The Pinay worker reportedly used to facial cream of her employer’s wife for at least 28 occasions, which is worth $797.
Magtanong worked for the family from September 2019 to August 2020 and has been employed under “less than favourable”, according to her lawyer Kevin Liew. The employer’s family is residing at a condominium.
According to Liew, Gozar has been poorly treated by her employer’s family for having short hours of sleep, prohibited to use mobile phone and not paid properly. In fact, the employer failed to give Gozar’s salary for two months and 10 days.
The lawyer revealed that those instances pushed the Pinay maid to commit the offense. The Ministry of Manpower is already investigating the allegations.

The employer’s CCTV footage caught Gozar breaking into the walk-in wardrobe and used its wife’s Revive facial serum valued at $389, Etude House facial cream valued at $69, and La Prairie anti-wrinkle cream valued at $339.
The couple brought Gozar to the agency to terminate her from the company because of her actions. She did not make a restitution.
Gozar Rose also admitted of spitting saliva and filling it with toilet water into the jug used by the family. She dipped a rag into the toilet and wring it out into a pail then transferred it to the jug.
“As a foreign domestic worker, your behaviour in contaminating the drinking water of the family is certainly something that cannot be condoned, certainly to be deterred. If you have any grievances…(there are) legitimate channels for you to do so it’s not right to do the way you have done,” District Judge Ng Peng Hong said.
