Pinay Maid Forgives Former Employer/Ambassador Marichu Mauro Who Maltreated Her for Months
A Pinay maid identified as alias “Amy” forgives her abusive employer former ambassador Marichu Mauro after maltreating her for months.
Recently, President Rodrigo Duterte supported the decision of Department of Foreign Affairs to dismiss Marichu Mauro from her position and remove all of her benefits four months after Amy revealed that the former ambassador is maltreating her.
“I signed the document affirming the decision which metes out the penalty of dismissal from the service, with the accessory penalties of cancellation of the eligibility, forfeiture of retirement benefits, perpetual disqualification of holding public office and bar from taking civil service examination. Iyan ho ang parusa niya,” Duterte said.
According to Amy, Mauro has been a good employer to her since she worked as a house maid in 2018 but everything has changed during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. The maltreatment reportedly starts when Mauro at the residence.
The helpless maid narrated that the former ambassador usually gets mad even in every little thing such as cleaning the restroom and other matter. Amy endured her employer’s cruelty to show respect.

Amy said that Mauro contacted her and asked for forgiveness for her abusive actions towards her. The Pinay maid forgives Mauro and decided not to file charges against the former ambassador.
“[Sabi niya] ‘patawarin mo ako. Hindi ko naman sinasadya ang ginagawa ko sa iyo. Nagsisisi ako,’ sabi niyang ganoon. Sabi ko, ‘ma’am, hindi naman po ako nagtatanim ng sama ng loob. Pinapatawad naman kita kahit ganoon nga po ang ginawa sa akin. Wala na po iyan sa akin,’” Amy said.
