Maureen Wroblewitz Stunning Gown During Miss Universe Philippines 2021 National Costume Competition
MISS UNIVERSE PH 2021 – Pangasinan’s Maureen Wroblewitz stunned the netizens when she wore an intricate all-silver gown during the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 national costume competition.
On Thursday, September 23, the Miss Universe Philippines organization released the video of the candidates in their national costumes through the Youtube channel of Empire.ph. They were dancing to BGYO’s “Kulay” while flaunting their vibrant outfits.
28 candidates vying for the coveted MUP crown impressed the online community with their unique cultural attire during the national competition. They were divided into four groups: Luzon, the National Capital Region, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Pangasinan’s Maureen Wroblewitz stunned the online community when she wore an intricate silver gown during the said competition. She sparked in her outfit created by Laguna-based fashion designer Louis Pangilinan.
The winner of ‘Asia’s Next Top Model’ season 5 transformed into a bejeweled Carnival Queen. Her outfit covered her neck all the way to her feet with glimmering silver fabric adorned with jewels. It also came with a scale-like headdress that branched out like leaves.

Before the Miss Universe PH 2021 national costume competition, Maureen Wroblewitz was able to do a photoshoot featuring her all-silver outfit. After the premiere of the showcase, she revealed that it was inspired by Pangasinan’s treasure, the Bangus or milkfish.
Quoting Louis Pangilinan’s explanation behind the artwork, the 23-year-old actress expressed her appreciation for his design. She wrote, “I’m in LOVE with this beautiful creation by Louis Pangilinan.”
The coronation night of the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 was supposed to take place on Sep. 25, but the organization moved it to a later date. The prelim interviews will be held on Friday, September 24 while the preliminary swimsuit and evening gown competition will be on Sunday, September 26.
The winner of the pageant will represent the Philippines in the Miss U 2021 to be held in Israel in December.
