Kim Chiu is petitioned to be removed from ‘It’s Showtime’
A netizen wants Chinita Princess Kim Chiu to be removed from Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime because of her remarks about “cheating”.
Previously, rumors surfaced that Kim will be removed from the show because viewers noticed that she was not doing her usual hosting spiels. However, the actress debunked the speculations and the dynamics between her and comedian-host Vice Ganda, along with other hosts of the show went back to what it was prior to the rumors.
However, just recently, a petition of a netizen to remove Kim Chiu surfaced. This came after the remarks of the Chinita Princess about cheating. Based on the article in The Philippine Star, Kim said, “Baka magchi-cheat kung hindi siya naging masaya?”, and in another video, she has this remark: “Baka, ano, bubukas ‘yung mundo ng cheating kung hindi siya masaya sa partner niya.”
Vice Ganda stressed that it should not be the way of reasoning. “There’s no acceptable reason for cheating,” the comedian-host said. With this, Twitter user @exileosaturn posted this petition on Twitter. “Petition for showtime to remove kim chiu from the show,” the netizen wrote in the caption of the post.
Several netizens expressed various reactions to this. Fans of Kim Chiu defended her and said that this matter should not reach the point that she will be removed from the Kapamilya noontime show.
However, there were also those who expressed that they do not like the style of hosting of the Chinita Princess and so they agreed with the petition of the netizen. Because of this, the name of the Kapamilya star topped the Twitter trend on Tuesday and many of her fans showed support for her.
