Sara Duterte Gives Message for Supporters After Ruling Out Presidential Bid

Message of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte for Supporters in 2022 Elections

SARA DUTERTE – The Davao City Mayor gave a message for her supporters after she ruled out a possible presidential bid in 2022.

The Elections 2022 is fast approaching and the filing of candidacy is set to start soon. Many Filipinos are speculating on who might take the two (2) much-awaited political races next year – the presidential and the vice-presidential races.

Several months prior to the filing of the candidacy, there are already consistent names on surveys for possible presidential candidates. There are also calls from specific groups for a certain politician to run for president next year.

One of those who were urged to run for president is presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte. Her political party, the Hugpong ng Pagbabago, wants her to run for president. Many other people have pledged support on the bid of the presidential daughter in case she will take the race.

However, according to the Davao City Mayor, she and President Rodrigo Roa Duterte agreed that only one of them must run for a national post. The 76-year-old Chief Executive previously accepted his party’s nomination for vice president.

Mayor Sara Duterte put an end to speculations by announcing that she will not run for president in 2022. Meanwhile, she clarified that their political decisions do not meddle with their family affairs.

In fact, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Davao City Mayor even asked her supporters to back the candidacy of her father for vice president. She expressed her gratitude to everyone not only from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao but even those who are abroad who expressed their support to her.

Asking her supporters to give their strongest support to Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Mayor Sara Duterte expressed that she and her father have an organized agreement on their political careers. She extended her gratitude to over 700 parallel groups that organized so she’ll run for president.

“Ito ay isang karangalan na hindi nabibili at ibinibigay sa lahat ng pulitiko… Sana ay ituloy natin ang pagtulong sa ating mga kababayan, kahit hindi para sa kandidatura o sa eleksyon,” she said.
