PNP Confirms 2 Kamote Riders Driving Recklessly in Viral Video Were Policemen
The Philippine National Police (PNP) finally locate and identified the two cops who were driving recklessly in viral video.
Previously, the video footage of two traffic personnel driving recklessly along the road goes viral and earned massive amount of criticisms from the social media users. The cops were performing dangerous stunts in the middle of the road.
In the video, it can be seen that the two police officers were showing dangerous stunts and driving recklessly, which could lead into a vehicular accident. The cop counter flowed on the opposite lane while his colleague is letting the motorcycle accelerate without holding the handle bar.
The online community lambasted the two road officers for their reckless and irresponsible actions in a public road. The video spread like a wildfire online and enraged the social media world.
On Thursday (September 2, 2021), PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar confirmed that the two riders in the viral video were actually policemen. The two performed their reckless act on a highway in Zambales.
Eleazar said that the two have been assigned in Central Luzon. The culprits have been identified as Police Chief Master Sgt. Israel Bondoc and Police Master Sgt. Manuel Tolentino with the help of Police Regional Office 3 and the Highway Patrol Group (HPG).
The PNP chief said that the investigation would continue as part of the disciplinary measures in the police organization although the two have been nabbed. He said that Bondoc and Tolentino would face corresponding sanctions for their actions.
“Let this serve as a warning that we will not tolerate this kind of misbehavior because as police officers, we should serve as the role models in abiding the laws that include traffic rules and regulations,” Eleazar said.
