Here’s what Yassi Pressman said about her character in ‘Ang Probinsyano’
Actress-host Yassi Pressman shared her thoughts on her character Alyana in the Kapamilya series Ang Probinsyano that she played for several years.
Alyana and Cardo Dalisay have been part of the primetime television viewing routine of many Pinoys. For several years, the onscreen tandem of Yassi and Coco Martin is well-loved by many.
However, as nothing really permanent on TV, Yassi also had to say goodbye from her lovable character. Based on the article in Inquirer Entertainment, the actress admitted that it was not easy for her to leave Alyana. “It’s tough to break away from the character,” she said.
The reason behind this is because she felt that she already become Alyana in real life. “Every taping day for the past years, I carry her with me. I will never forget Alyana,” Yassi Pressman said.
However, she has to let go of this character that has become so attached to her. “But I need to set aside so I can welcome new characters, projects and experiences,” the actress shared.
Her character is not the only thing that was hard for her to let go. The whole show has also became part of her life for so long. “Leaving the show wasn’t easy, because I had grown comfortable doing it, and I loved working with everyone,” she said.
On the other hand, Yassi Pressman said that she will always be grateful being part of the long-running Kapamilya series. After she left the teleserye, Jane de Leon became the leading lady of Coco. However, Jane had to exit from the action-drama series also because she has started shooting for her Darna series.
Now, Ang Probinsyano tags Julia Montes as Cardo’s “huing pag-ibig”, who is also being rumored as the girlfriend of Coco Martin.
