Here’s what Gigi de Lana said about Regine Velasquez
It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan grand finalist Gigi de Lana made revelations about Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.
From joining the singing contest in the Kapamilya noontime show, Gigi has rose to fame online and she is now being tagged as the Rising Viral Star due to her viral video of the song Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita.
Because of her talent, her fans and supporters are growing in numbers. She was also given a chance to be part of the 2020 movie Four Sisters Before the Wedding. This year, she officially signed a contract with Star Magic, the talent management company of ABS-CBN.
Based on the article in Bandera, during a recent interview, Gigi de Lana shared that one of her dreams when it comes to her music career was fulfilled. She dreamed of performing on ASAP Natin ‘To live and this already happened.
The person who became instrumental in fulfilling this dream of Gigi was no other than Regine Velasquez. “Gusto ko talaga maging regular sa ‘ASAP’. Kaya po ako napasok last time, gawa po ni ate Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. Sinabi niya po sa akin, ‘I requested you to be here,’” the young singer said.
She said that she did not expect this as she has been an admirer of the Asia’s Songbird since she was younger. Gigi said that she dreamed of just seeing the popular singer standing in front of her but she got more than this.
Aside from this, Gigi de Lana also shared another dream collaboration and it is with rapper Gloc-9. The young singer revealed that she really admires the rapper because of how he conceptualizes his music and how he writes his lyrics.
She added that the works of Gloc-9 has a great impact to many people. “Sobrang galing niya kasi mag-conceptualize ng music, ng words niya, at the same time, yung lyrics niya, nakakadala. Nakaka-affect siya ng maraming tao,” she said.
