Mayor Vico Sotto Speaks About His Work Before Becoming Pasig City’s Chief Executive
VICO SOTTO – The young Mayor revealed his possible career in case he did not run and win the mayoralty race for Pasig City.
One of the most popular mayors in the Philippines is Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto. He is already a known personality even before he managed to secure the top post of the local government in Pasig City. He is the son of GMA-7 actor and TV host Vic Sotto and veteran actress Coney Reyes.
Despite being the son of two (2) of the most popular personalities in the Philippine showbiz industry, Vico lived quite a private life when he was growing up. He would seldom appear on television except for the birthday specials of his father in Eat Bulaga!
Undeniably, prior to becoming the Pasig City Mayor, not much is known about the personal life of Vico. He has also not show interest in taking the field where both his parents have established names.
Last May 2019, Vico Sotto put an end to decade reign of the Eusebios in Pasig City. The latter has served the people of Pasig for 27 years and it was Vico’s first attempt to run for mayor at age of 30 then. Prior to it, he was a member of the council for one term.
What if Mayor Vico Sotto did not become the executive chief of the local government of Pasig City? Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, he said that he would have been a teacher if he did not win as mayor.
According to Mayor Vico, before running for mayor, he has taught at the Arellano University for one semester. In case he did not run for mayor and win, he expressed that he would have continued his teaching career. He taught s subject related to social sciences. According to him, he prefers to teach undergraduate college students.
