Netizens Slam Traffic Enforcer for Hitting Delivery Rider During Apprehension
The video footage of a traffic enforcer smacking a delivery rider during apprehension goes viral after it was posted on social media.
Traffic enforcers are public employees hired by the government to maintain the peace and order along the road. They are tasked to manage and control the flow of traffic and prevent accidents.
Enforcers are also authorized to apprehend violators but should implement the traffic policy with love, respect and consideration towards others. They should also set as an example towards others by performing their job properly.
The Facebook page “SunStar Cebu” has shared the video footage of a traffic enforcer smacking a delivery rider during apprehension. The incident garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, it can be seen that a delivery rider and a lady traffic enforcer were having an exchange of heated argument during an apprehension. The delivery worker allegedly commit a traffic violation.
After a few moments, the enforcer smacked the rider prompting its phone to sustain cracks and damages. The delivery employee questioned the road personnel’s authority to hurt him physically.
The latter admitted his mistakes after stepping into the pedestrian lane and expressed his willingness to submit to the authorities but the woman seems to abuse his rights. The two kept on having an argument for a couple of minutes.
