Glaiza de Castro admitted that she might not handle being cheated by a loved one
Nagbabagang Luha actress Glaiza de Castro shared her thoughts on the topic about infidelity as this is being tackled in the new Kapuso series.
Glaiza plays the character of Maita, the wife of Alex who is played by Rayver Cruz. In the series, which is adapted from the 1988 drama movie, Maita experienced betrayal from her husband and her young sister Cielo who is played by Claire Castro.
Based on the article in Inquirer Entertainment, during a recent virtual media conference for the afternoon soap opera on GMA-7, Glaiza de castro admitted that she might not handle infidelity well.
“I don’t think I would be able to handle it if my husband cheats on me with my sister. Sometimes, it’s more frustrating and saddening when it’s your loved ones, family or someone close to you that hurts you,” the actress said.
She added that this situation is being tackled in the series which sets them apart from other soap operas about cheating, betrayal, and infidelity.
Meanwhile, other cast members of the TV series also have the perception that cheating is detrimental to the relationship, as well to the people involved in the situation.
Claire said that it can destroy a person’s self-esteem. For Myrtly Sarrosa, based on her personal experience, it was more painful because he learned about the cheating from other people as her loved one was trying to hide it.
Mike Tan stressed that infidelity is not something that one can just forgive and forget. For him, it is hard to bring back what is already shattered. Rayver Cruz also have the same thoughts and he said that people should think very carefully before doing anything because one cannot undo what was already done. “Cheating destroys trust in a relationship. Once the window has cracked you will just be waiting for it to shatter,” the lead actor of the series said.
