Maureen Wroblewitz pairs with Kit Thompson for her debut movie
The debut movie of Miss Universe Philippines 2021 contestant Maureen Wroblewitz is set to be released this September.
After winning Asia’s Next Top Model Season 5, Maureen ventured into hosting, and early this year, she signed a contract with ABS-CBN talent management firm Star Magic.
Now, she joined the world of pageantry for the second edition of Miss Universe Philippines. Before the coronation night of the national pageant, Maureen Wroblewitz’s will be shown and this will be her acting debut.
Based on the article in PEP, this film is titled Runaway and is set to stream on Upstream.ph on September 3 and her leading man is Kit Thompson.
The said movie was filmed in New Zealand. Maureen’s character name is Hannah who wanted to escape Manila and have an adventure in NZ while Kit plays the character of Ben who wants to go home to the Philippines. In New Zealand, they meet and the story revolves there.
In the recent Instagram post of Maureen, she shared how happy she is for her debut movie. “I’ve been so excited to announce this and the day has finally come. With just a few months of Tagalog classes and no acting workshop, I have embarked on this journey and what a beautiful journey it was,” the model-actress said.
She is also thankful for the people behind the movie as well as her co-stars for having a wonderful working experience with them.
Runaway is directed by Katski Flores and it’s under Reality MM Studios. Also included in the cast are Audie Gemora, Lana Garland, and si Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa.
Meanwhile, Maureen Wroblewitz is one of the popular candidates in Miss Universe Philippines 2021 and the coronation night will be on September 25.
