Netizens were seemingly not pleased over the ex-deal proposal of Yexel Sebastian, a social media influencer.
YEXEL SEBASTIAN – Social media influencer Yexel Sebastian lambasted online following his ex-deal proposal for his home’s roofing and flooring.
Filipino content creator and a known toy collector Yexel Sebastian is currently facing controversy. He is the brother of the late and well-loved Jam Sebastian, the other half of the hit online love team JaMich. He owns a namesake toy museum in Las Piñas where he displays all of the toys he has collected since he was a child.
As a social media influencer, he has gained millions of followers on Facebook and YouTube. He is the first toy collector in the country to own a toy museum and among his collections are the life-size statues of Iron. He previously put it on sale at a negotiable price of Php 1.4 million. His museum houses thousands of toys in different sizes may it be cartoon, animation, video games, and movie-based characters. And the main thing he has is the 18-foot Optimus Prime bust created by Abet Valdecantos.
However, facing an issue, it all started with his post where he proposed an ex-deal to professionals who can make the flooring and roofing of his house in Bulacan. He posted it on social media and it caught so much attention. Many netizens were not pleased about it because, in this time of the pandemic, the video promotion they promised in exchange for the services they want will not feed the families of these professionals.
Truly, having an ex-deal is not an impossible thing to happen but what most people need now is money in order to survive. Netizens believed that the beautiful montage, promotion, and shoutout by a social media influencer like him will not put food on their tables. He tried to have an ex-deal but the internet did not digest it well.
In his post, he wanted his whole second floor to be built in exchange for video and social media promotions. In another post, he explained that he did it because ex-deals do not involve money or to others, a discount for something where both parties can benefit from. He also added that his post was not intended to look down on anyone or any professionals.
