“Ukay-Ukay” Store Who Launches Piso Sale Surged by Customers Goes Viral

Video footage of customers surged at a ready-to-wear (RTW) or “ukay-ukay” store that launches Piso sale elicit reactions online.

A video posted to Facebook shows a group of people storming an RTW store somewhere in the Philippines. The increase was supposedly driven by the said store’s sale.

People are waiting outside for the establishment to completely open, based on the video. When the store’s owner first opened it, a swarm of consumers rushed in to get as many products as they could.

As seen in the video, when the customers enter, the store appears to be plundered, as a clothes stand has fallen off. However, it was panned online since the minimum health protocols were not followed and observed.

In the wake of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) epidemic, businesses are compelled to impose minimum health standards on their clients to prevent the spread of the disease. When entering the establishments, the physical distance must also be maintained.

However, as shown in the video, the above-mentioned protocols were not followed. As a result, the internet community chastised the local government of the store’s location as well as the store’s owner for their incompetence.

The video has received a lot of attention and has gone viral on social media. The business owner, as well as the undisciplined consumers who took advantage of the sale opportunity while ignoring the risk of communicable disease, was chastised by the online community.
