Roque Says Paghandaan Ang ECQ As Citizens Call For “Ayuda”
ROQUE ON NEW ECQ – Recently, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said “kailangang paghandaan ng taumbayan ‘yung ECQ” days before the implementation on August 6.
For the third time, the Philippines is imposing another enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) on Metro Manila. This was due to a surge in COVID-19 cases and local transmissions of the new, more transmissible Delta Variant.
Now, as the new quarantine looms, citizens are calling for “Ayuda” as the province enters another ECQ. With the new lockdown, citizens expressed how their livelihood would be lost.
However, according to Roque, those in need should always prepare for the upcoming quarantine. Based on an article from Philstar, Roque stated:
However, Roque did emphasize that the President assured the Filipino public that the government wouldn’t impose a lockdown if no “Ayuda” would be given.
