Residents Having Swimming Competition in Floodwaters Elicits Comments Online

The video footage of several residents who participated in a swimming competition in floodwaters goes viral after it was posted online.

Last week, Metro Manila and some parts of the country have experienced severe flooding due to the enhanced southwest monsoon triggered by the Typhoon Fabian. The typhoon brings an inclement weather condition, which causes flood.

The Facebook page “Yakki” has shared the video footage of several residents participating in a makeshift a swimming competition in floodwaters. The video circulates online and garnered various reactions from the online community.

In the video, it can be seen that some male residents in the area are preparing to swim in floodwaters. The group of men compete with each other as they held a makeshift competition in floodwaters.

The mini swimming competition has been held at the basketball court in the area. The participants seem to enjoy their swimming activity.
