Cindy Miranda talked about her movie with Aljur Abrenica
Beauty queen-turned-actress Cindy Miranda said that the movie Nerisa with Kapamilya actor Aljur Abrenica is a dream role for her and here is the reason why.
Cindy won Binibining Pilipinas Tourism in 2013. Aside from this, she also earned the Miss Teen Philippines Region 1 and Miss Philippines Earth Baguio titles.
Now that she ventured into acting, she was given a chance to be paired with Aljur Abrenica. Although she was accused of being the third party in the breakup of her leading man with his estranged wife Kylie Padilla, Cindy Miranda proved that her partnership with the actor is purely onscreen.
In a recent interview by Philstar, the 27-year-old actress was asked about her role in the movie. “Sobrang pressure po yun actually. Alam mo po ‘yung dream come true na ang bigat. It’s a make it or break it,” Cindy said.
She had to went through difficult stunts that wounded her face aside from the not-so-comfortable setup during the lock-in taping.
“Andami ko pong sugat at pasa. Ganun po ka-grabe ang journey ni Nerisa? I had a cut on my face. Eh meron po akong scene ‘nung gabi. Medyo malalim po, dumudugo siya. Pumasok sa eksena (with wounded nose,” she said.
Cindy Miranda narrated that she had to do underwater scenes and a lot of jumping. They also had to deal with the weather and the limited time and resources in order to finish the movie. When asked why she accepted this project despite that it will be difficult to portray her role amid the pandemic, the actress said that it’s all worth it due to these factors.
“Minsan ka lang bigyan ng pagkakataon. I’ve waited a long time to get a lead role and it’s a title role pa po,” said Cindy. “Of course, Ricky Lee wrote it and Lawrence Fajardo is director, who am I to turn it down? When you read the script, you’ll definitely won’t think twice. I had to do it, without any reservation,” Cindy Miranda said.
